  2. PrintGL Description

  4. PrintGL is a shareware pen plotter emulator for IBM/DOS systems.
  5.  
  6. PrintGL prints or displays HP-GL (HP Graphics Language - HP 7475, 7440/17440
  7. subsets) plotfiles from CAD and graphing packages such as AutoCAD, Generic CADD
  8. Microstation, MathCAD, SAS, Schema, etc. It supports Epson and IBM 9 pin
  9. printers, Epson, Fujitsu, IBM, NEC, and Toshiba 24 pin printers, HP Laserjet,
  10. Deskjet (500C), PaintJet, QuietJet, and plotters, IBM ExecJet, LaserPrinter,
  11. and Quietwriter 2/3, Canon LBP, BJ, and BJC printers, Kodak Color 4, Tektronix
  12. ColorQuick, and PostScript printers, and CGA, EGA, VGA, EVGA, and HGC displays.
  13. And it generates .PCX and .IMG bit map files.

  15. Even if your graphics program supports your printer, you will probably find
  16. that PrintGL is faster, gives better print quality, and/or gives more
  17. formatting flexibility. PrintGL uses the best graphics modes available for each
  18. printer that it supports and uses transfer data compression to improve print
  19. speed on many printers. And it gives options such as paper size, orientation,
  20. magnification, and pen width, color (with color mixing), and shading.
